And that is exactly what happened!
A group of three individuals with a strong desire to say 'Thank you’ to the Universe for all the
'abundance’ that has come their way in the form of success in their areas of work, support of
their respective families, achievements of their offsprings and a lot of other things which have made them believe
that they have got 'enough and more’ in their lives; decided to join hands to give back to the society.
Individually, they have been contributing in cash and kind to express their gratitude for the largesse
that they have been bestowed with. In the process of giving, they realised that they are actually
getting back a lot in return in the form of happiness and satisfaction. But it has also brought out the fact
that just small gestures are not enough to bring about a significant change in the lives of the lesser
privileged sections of the society. There is so much to be done for the disadvantaged children and
youth to ensure that they lead respectable lives as well as offer support to people around them.
This like-minded thinking brought about the idea to form this Non-Profit Organisation under Section
8 of the Companies Act, 2013 called PunyaKarma Foundation incorporated on May 02, 2018.
PunyaKarma Foundation has been formed to work towards helping children and youth to meet their dreams to get education/develop skills and have a better life. The three specific areas of work are as follows :
1. Providing children with basic education through payment of school fees, uniforms, satchels and anything else that is required for them to attend school. Nutritious mid-day meals also to be provided wherever required
2. Sports sponsorship for deserving candidates - can also include sponsoring of sporting events
3. Sponsoring of vocational and training courses for youth
With utmost surety that there are a lot of people out there who think often - 'Let’s do a Good Deed today…’ but do not know where to start; this honest and transparent platform is being offered to enable them to make a difference in the lives of those people who need to be uplifted. And they can rest assured, that ALL the resources received by the foundation will be utilised towards helping the lesser privileged to enhance the quality of their lives. An appeal to all to do our bit because every 'bit’ contributed by us will bring about the 'BIG’ change in the lives of the deprived, that all of us wish to see
